Seismic Dance Event Returns May 21-23, 2021

Seismic Dance Event 2.0

Austin, TX – In a year that saw festivals shifting plans or outright canceling, RealMusic Events’ marquee festival, Seismic Dance Event, faced similar challenges, having to postpone their special one-off Spring Edition as well as their regular late-Fall festival. And while the pandemic might have changed Seismic’s trajectory, it did not derail it, as the once two-day festival recently announced it would be returning May 21 – 23, 2021, adding a third day. The festival will be held at a new, to-be-announced 7-acre venue, located in close proximity to the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

Following the necessary mandates set forth with the introduction of COVID-19, RealMusic Events made the decision to re-introduce Seismic, working closely with officials to ensure safety of fans, artists, and staff. Following the State of Texas and CDC guidance on outdoor gatherings, the event will include health checks, facemask requirements, touch-point hand-wash and sanitation stations, and social distancing. Further safety protocols, including an intimate, limited capacity setting, will be announced with the finalized COVID-19 safety plan.

“Seismic has always been an intimate boutique festival which is so crucial for that really special niche vibe,” says RealMusic Events co-founder Kelly Gray, “but it also plays in our favor in terms of the feasibility of our event taking place in May.”
